Kiski Area School District 1995-2007 High School Diploma: Liberal Fine Arts A busy student through out my primary and secondary years, my transcripts will show a well rounded student. School days very easily lasted 12-16 hours and included time spent in classes, clubs, sports, and performances. Nevertheless, high honors were achieved in both these extra-curricular activities and my grade point average. I am thankful for the opportunities given to allow me to become not only a well rounded student with many chances to translate those skills into everyday life. Clarion University of Pennsylvania: 2007-2011 Bachelor of Science in Education/ History Minor Achievement driven and focused, my time at Clarion was largely spent in Stevenson and Founder's Halls, the education and history buildings respectively. I achieved Dean's List 7/8 semesters, missing an eighth by only one B. I would graduate Summa Cum Laude sporting a 3.8 GPA, degree Bachelor of Science in Education with a minor in history and certificate from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in secondary social studies grades 7-12. Edinboro University of Pennsylvania 2012-2014 Master of Education in Middle and Secondary Instruction Due to my unpredictable work schedule as a substitute, Edinboro's online graduate programs were very appealing. Working year round, only taking a break for knee surgery, I was able to earn my Master of Education in two and half years. The program focused largely on new techniques at the middle level and broadening cultural horizons in secondary education as a whole. I was required to complete a research study from start to finish, focusing on question and answer techniques at the middle level. With a social studies focus within the program, I was able to take graduate level courses in Native American, Multicultural History, and Histography, something I have found to be of great use in the classroom. After completing all course and portfolio requirements with a 4.0 GPA, I was awarded my degree. I plan to continue my education through workshops and credit programs in the area. |
